I am very excited to announce our family is about to begin an exciting new chapter! Almost a couple weeks ago, a company Michael used to co-op for called him out of the blue and sounded like they were trying to recruit him. An interview was set up for Monday the 23rd. Just hours later, he got a message from another company he was waiting to hear back from and he got another interview for the following Monday. All this was just a couple days after I set up our new budget for the fall and was very discouraged about how bleak it looked. We'd likely not have enough to make ends meet since another of Michael's loans had gone into repayment; not even mention celebrate all our birthdays, our anniversary, or Christmas. We prayed a lot and continued waiting, and with the sudden flurry of activity really hoped things were about to change at last. The same day Michael interviewed, he also got an offer and was scheduled to start work the following week!! They were trying to recruit him as we suspected, and the other company was actually competing for him to work on the same project (so he gracefully handled all this and will still build relationships with both so it's ultimately a win-win for everyone!). Funny enough a third company he also had applied to next door to where I work also called him and was very interested in bringing him in. When it rains, it definitely pours sometimes! God is so good, and looking back we can clearly see His timing was absolutely perfect. Even the frustrations and delays with grad school got worked out for good.
We're still finalizing the current set up for Liam with child care. He will be watched by a good friend's mom (who is currently watching two other kids) at least for the start of the week, and then will be going to stay with a family at our church we know well and really like. I'm touring a couple promising day care options this week as well, in case the in home situations aren't working out as well for any reason. This is going to be a transition for sure, but it is the change we have been waiting for that opens up the door to so many new opportunities! I think Liam will actually enjoy leaving the house with Mommy for a change, and having other kids to play with during the day (he's a very social little guy who loves going to church or the YMCA because of all the other kids he can play with there).
